Assisi - Umbria to see the Basilica of St. Francis and the Sacro Convento, San Francesco street where there are the 13th c. House of the Maestri Comacini, the 15th c. Oratorio dei Pellegrini, the Monte Frumentario (a 13th c. corn market) and the 16th c. Oliviera Fountain.
In Piazza del Comune are the Roman Temple of Minerva (dating from the 1st c. B.C.), the 13th c. Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo and the Palazzo dei Priori. The Museum and Roman Forum. The Basilica of St. Claire is an example of Italian Gothic architecture, it was constructed between 1257-1265. The Cathedral of St. Rufino with her impressive romanesque façade (1140) there is the baptismal font where St. Francis, St. Claire and Federico II were baptized. The Rocca Maggiore, a typical example of medieval military architecture, from where you can see a beautiful landscape on Casa Paradiso valley.
